Who I Am

johanna suomela

I am Johanna Suomela, originally from Oulu, Finland.

 

My passion for physiotherapy led me to embark on a journey rich with international experiences, culminating in my specialization in cardiac physiotherapy.

​

This journey fuels my constant desire for learning and growth, driving me to continuously seek new knowledge and techniques to provide my patients with the most advanced and effective care.

Education and Professional Journey:

  • 2004: Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy, University of Applied Sciences, Oulu, Finland

  • 2004: Began my career at the Taukokangas Rehabilitation Center in Finland, working with patients suffering from respiratory and musculoskeletal issues

  • 2005-2009: Jorvi Hospital (Helsinki University Hospital Region) – Worked with post-surgical patients and provided chronic pain physiotherapy as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • 2006-2008: Psychology studies at the University of Helsinki (Open University)

  • 2009: Moved to Rome and began working as a freelance physiotherapist

  • Over the years, I have collaborated with various rehabilitation centers (Te.Ri Srl, UILDM, Fisiocenter Ostia Antica, Casa di Cura Mater Dei, Ars Biomedica Clinic), gaining clinical experience in orthopedic, neurological, and cardiorespiratory physiotherapy

  • 2022: Completed a specialization in Cardiac Physiotherapy in Finland

  • Regular participant in training courses and conferences in the fields of cardiorespiratory rehabilitation and physiotherapy

This variety of experiences allows me to offer a comprehensive approach to care, considering every aspect of your health.

I firmly believe in the importance of continuous learning to ensure that you always receive the best available care.
